Assoc. Prof. Dr. Azamat Maksüdünov, a faculty member of the Department of Business Administration at the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences of Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University (KTMU), delivered a seminar titled “The Third Mission of Universities in the Age of Artificial Intelligence: Global Trends and Local Reflections” to university students on February 10, 2026.

The aim of the seminar was stated as increasing students’ awareness of entrepreneurship and opening discussions on current trends emerging in the age of artificial intelligence. During the seminar, examples of higher education institutions around the world adopting the entrepreneurial mission, as well as practices implemented at local universities, were discussed. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Maksüdünov emphasized that in order for universities to successfully fulfill their entrepreneurial mission, they must first sustain education and research activities at the highest level. He also underlined that students are a critical stakeholder in the university entrepreneurship ecosystem.

In this context, he noted that the activities carried out by Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University include successful practices that can serve as a model for other universities. At the end of the seminar, students were informed about the Manas E-Lab Erasmus+ Project, which is being implemented under the coordination of Manas University, and the opportunities offered within the scope of the project were introduced.
