Kazakhstan has begun studying the feasibility of constructing the Trans-Caspian Oil Pipeline, which would run along the seabed of the Caspian Sea to Azerbaijan's capital, Baku. The 4th Meeting of the Common Turkic Alphabet Commission, organized jointly by the Turkic Academy and the Turkish Language Association (TDK), concluded successfully in Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan. During the meeting, the “Implementation Guide” and the alphabet variants of member countries were approved, paving the way for the practical adoption of the 34-letter Common Turkic Alphabet that was accepted in Baku last September.

Kazakhstan possesses a significant mineral resource base. According to the state balance sheet, the country has 374 registered gold deposits with total reserves amounting to 2,369 tonnes. In the past year alone, five new deposits containing approximately 98 tonnes of gold reserves were added to the state register.
