On June 23, 2026, the 12th meeting of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission on Bilateral Cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan was held in Cholpon-Ata. The meeting was co-chaired by Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Adylbek Kasymaliev and Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov. At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties signed the relevant protocol.

President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov held a meeting with Kürşad Zorlu, a member of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye. Kyrgyzstan’s Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Adylbek Kasymaliyev, met with a delegation from Türkiye’s major energy company RHOFA Energy to discuss investment opportunities. During the meeting held in the capital Bishkek, the parties discussed plans for solar power plant projects in Kyrgyzstan as well as bilateral strategic cooperation in the energy sector.
