Prof. Dr. Metin Toprak, Head of the Economics Department at Istanbul Sabahattin Zaim University and a member of the Central Bank’s Audit Board, delivered a seminar to our university’s academic and administrative staff titled “Institutional Structure and Implementation Strategies in Quality Assurance and Accreditation: A Holistic Model Proposal.”
The purpose of the seminar was to raise awareness among university staff on the topics of quality and accreditation and to highlight their true scope and significance.
Prof. Dr. Toprak clearly outlined national and international efforts, legislation, documentation, and practices related to quality and accreditation. His key message emphasized that this is a professional task and should be entrusted to experts using proper methods, as it can bring financial benefits to the university.
According to him, even faculty members and administrative staff not directly involved in the process should be aware of its importance and stay informed about developments.
In his speech, Prof. Dr. Toprak proposed a new model that would meet the emerging requirements in quality and accreditation without placing an excessive burden on the university and would help use its energy and resources efficiently.
