On 11 February 2026, the Azerbaijani–Turkish business forum titled “Digital Transformation and the Technology Bridge” was held in Baku. The event was organized by the Turkish Informatics Industry Association (TÜBİSAD), the Innovation and Digital Development Agency of Azerbaijan, and Sistem Global.

The forum brought together representatives of government institutions and business communities from both countries. Azerbaijan’s Deputy Minister of Digital Development Samir Mammadov emphasized that Azerbaijan and Türkiye view digital transformation as a strategic priority. He noted that all technical work on the mutual recognition of electronic signatures and the integration of digital document management systems has been completed, while legal arrangements are currently underway.

Turkish Ambassador to Azerbaijan Birol Akgün stated that strong political will and leadership have elevated bilateral relations to the level of a strategic alliance. He highlighted the importance of the Shusha Declaration signed in 2021 and noted that the Action Plan adopted in December 2025 includes cooperation in digital transformation, artificial intelligence, information technologies, and fintech.

Mehmet Ali Tombalak, Chairman of the Board of TÜBİSAD, reported that Türkiye’s information and communication technologies sector has reached a volume of USD 33 billion and expressed confidence that cooperation with Azerbaijan would significantly increase this figure. Around 70 entrepreneurs participated in the forum, which featured panel discussions and bilateral business meetings aimed at strengthening digital cooperation.
