Within the framework of the 5th Tashkent International Investment Forum, a ceremonial signing of a package of bilateral documents aimed at expanding and deepening economic cooperation between Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan was held. The official ceremony was attended by Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov and Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Ali Asadov.
The strategic focus of the new agreements is to strengthen industrial cooperation in the fields of geology, efficient utilization of mineral resources, and the mining industry. In this regard, the Ministry of Mining Industry and Geology of Uzbekistan signed a cooperation agreement with Azerbaijan’s state-owned company AzerGold.
The document envisages the implementation of joint programs for geological exploration, integrated development of mineral deposits, as well as the exchange of advanced scientific, industrial, and sector-specific expertise. In addition, the Uzbek side reached concrete agreements with the international investment group NEQSOL Holding. The partnership with the holding is aimed at developing and implementing joint investment projects related to the efficient exploitation of mineral and raw material resources.
According to the prime ministers, the signed agreements will create a solid legal framework for attracting long-term foreign capital, introducing modern mining technologies, and elevating industrial cooperation between Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan to a new qualitative level.
