The volume of oil transported from Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan via the Baku–Tbilisi–Ceyhan (BTC) oil pipeline reached 3 million 028.5 thousand tonnes in January–August 2026.
According to AZERTAC, citing the State Statistics Committee of Azerbaijan, oil from Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan accounted for 18.1% of the total volume of oil transported via the Baku–Tbilisi–Ceyhan (BTC) pipeline during this period.
A total of 16 million 746 thousand tonnes of oil was transported via the Baku–Tbilisi–Ceyhan (BTC) oil pipeline in January–August 2026. Of this amount, 13 million 717.4 thousand tonnes, or 81.9%, consisted of oil produced in Azerbaijan.
The Baku–Tbilisi–Ceyhan (BTC) is an oil pipeline with a length of 1,768 kilometers. It transports crude oil from the Caspian Sea to the Mediterranean Sea. The pipeline starts in Baku, Azerbaijan, passes through Georgian territory, and reaches the Turkish port of Ceyhan on the Mediterranean coast.
