At the 4th meeting of the joint Azerbaijani-Turkish working group on tourism in Baku issues of bilateral cooperation and interaction within international organizations were discussed.

This is reported by Report with reference to the State Tourism Agency. At the meeting, the sides exchanged views on creation of cooperation mechanisms between public and private sectors, cooperation in the field of regional tourism, exchange of experience and information in the marketing and promotion, as well as on the preparation of a joint Action Program for 2025 and other issues, assessed the activities implemented within the framework of the joint action plan for 2024, discussed a new joint action plan for 2025.

During the meeting the issues related to the development of regional tourism, experience of agro-tourism development in Turkish provinces of Rize and Trabzon, study of experience of Birgi and Shirince villages in Izmir province within the framework of “Tourist Village” project, as well as establishment of partnership relations between Lankaran Regional Tourism Board and relevant institutions of Rize and Trabzon provinces were also discussed. It should be noted that on November 15, 2024, Azerbaijan and Turkey signed an agreement on strengthening cooperation in the tourism sector.
