The second edition of the fair, the first of which was held in Istanbul from November 7 to 9, 2024, was organized at the Baku Expo Center in cooperation with the Small and Medium Business Development Agency of Azerbaijan (KOBİA) and the Center for Analysis and Communication of Economic Reforms of Azerbaijan, and coordinated by the Association of Small and Medium Enterprises and Clubs (KOBSKA) and ROK Expo.
Supported by public institutions from Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkey, Uzbekistan, Hungary, Turkmenistan, and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), the fair aimed to deepen cooperation in trade, industry, investment, technology, and service sectors among these countries.
At the fair, where product groups and new technologies from more than 20 sectors were exhibited, investment opportunities, strategic sectors, problems faced by the business world, and proposed solutions were discussed during conferences featuring expert speakers.
Through bilateral meetings among participating companies, it was aimed to establish strategic partnerships and develop common Turkic brands. The fair, which hosted participants from 10 countries and visitors from more than 20 countries, lasted until June 12.
TRNC companies participated extensively in the fair
Aygün Aliyeva, the organizer of the Turkic Trade Fair, stated in an interview with AA that the fair included discussions on the economic power and investment opportunities of Turkic states, agriculture, commercial disputes and their resolution, start-ups, and branding.
Aliyeva said: “The main goal of the Turkic Trade Fair was to ensure that the private sector benefits from the growing areas of cooperation among Turkic states. The Turkic states are cooperating in more than 20 sectors. At the fair, product groups from more than 20 sectors were showcased. Our goal was to further strengthen economic cooperation among Turkic states. We also aimed to introduce lesser-known products of Turkic countries to each other. Our next fair will be held in Uzbekistan, followed by the TRNC. TRNC companies participated extensively in the fair.”
