Chairman of the Supervisory Board of “AzerGold” Zakir Ibrahimov held a meeting with Kyrgyzstan’s Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Maksat Mamytkanov.
According to “Vesti.az,” Ibrahimov noted that the peoples of Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan are united by the cultural heritage of the common Turkic world, and that relations based on friendship, brotherhood, and mutual respect continue to develop. He also emphasized that interstate relations have been steadily growing in recent years.
The head of “AzerGold” provided information about the company’s areas of activity, achievements, and strategic goals. It was noted that the company successfully exports precious metals to the global market while strictly adhering to environmental protection principles. “AzerGold” ranks among the leading state-owned enterprises engaged in exports outside the oil and gas sector. Its strategic plans also include implementing mining projects in Central Asian countries. Currently, discussions are underway regarding partnership opportunities in this direction.
Kyrgyz Ambassador Maksat Mamytkanov congratulated “AzerGold” on its achievements and expressed interest in joint cooperation in the exploration and development of Kyrgyzstan’s non-ferrous metal deposits. The ambassador emphasized that Kyrgyzstan possesses large reserves of iron ore and other non-ferrous metals, and cooperation with “AzerGold” would bring mutual benefit to both countries.
The parties noted that expanding cooperation in the mining and processing sectors would help strengthen economic ties. At the end of the meeting, prospects for mutual investments and the development of strategic partnership were discussed.
