Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan are taking an important step to further strengthen bilateral relations: both sides are considering the possibility of increasing the number of direct flights and expanding cooperation in the field of air transport.
According to Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Transport, this issue was one of the main topics discussed at the 21st meeting of the Azerbaijan–Kazakhstan Intergovernmental Commission, held in Baku.
During the meeting, the parties expressed satisfaction with the steady growth of mutual trade in recent years and agreed to continue cooperation in such areas as expanding trade volumes, establishing a joint investment fund, and supporting medium-scale industrial projects.
The meeting, co-chaired by Azerbaijan’s Minister of Energy Parviz Shahbazov and Kazakhstan’s Minister of Transport Nurlan Sauanbayev, was attended by numerous representatives from government bodies and business circles of both countries. As a result of the talks, a comprehensive protocol covering 17 areas of cooperation — from transport and energy to digital transformation and culture — was signed.
