Turkish companies have made a significant contribution to the reconstruction of Karabakh by implementing projects valued at more than $5 billion in total. This was stated by Turkey’s Minister of Trade, Ömer Bolat, during his speech at the 2nd Azerbaijan–Turkey Investment Forum held in Baku.

According to the minister, in recent years Turkish companies have played an important role in Azerbaijan’s economy, particularly in the process of rebuilding the Karabakh region liberated from occupation.

As noted by Ömer Bolat, Turkish contractors have implemented more than 12,600 projects worldwide, with a total value exceeding $550 billion. Thanks to this, they have gained strong international prestige and success. To date, Turkish companies have carried out approximately 560 different projects in Azerbaijan.

The minister emphasized that the liberation of Karabakh was made possible by the successes of Azerbaijan’s heroic army and the selfless bravery of its martyrs. He added that Turkish companies subsequently became actively involved in the reconstruction of the region, stating: “Turkish companies are participating in the reconstruction efforts in Karabakh with projects whose total value exceeds $5 billion.”

According to him, close cooperation is currently ongoing between the governments of Azerbaijan and Turkey to attract new investments aimed at developing Karabakh’s industry and agriculture and revitalizing the region’s economy.

In addition, Ömer Bolat highlighted the high effectiveness of the Azerbaijan–Turkey Joint Economic Commission operating at the level of heads of state, noting that the relevant institutions are committed to fully fulfilling all assigned tasks before the commission’s next meeting.
