The President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, received a delegation from Uzbekistan. The delegation included the Minister of Foreign Affairs, the Minister of Internal Affairs, the Minister of Defense, and the Head of Uzbekistan’s Intelligence Service.
During the meeting, representatives of the Uzbek delegation conveyed the warm greetings of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and noted that bilateral relations between the two countries continue to demonstrate stable and positive momentum.
The meeting was held in the “4+4” format and served as further evidence of active cooperation between the governments and agencies of Uzbekistan and Turkey. The parties emphasized their commitment to making every effort to fully and timely implement the agreements reached at the level of the two countries’ leaders.
Following the reception by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, bilateral meetings between representatives of the ministries of both countries continued, during which key issues were discussed.
Regional security and major global developments were addressed, highlighting that the world is currently facing unprecedented instability and rapid changes, while developing countries are encountering increasingly complex challenges.
Participants of the meeting reviewed effective areas of cooperation aimed at ensuring sustainable development within the framework of a reliable security system. The parties underlined that improving the quality of life of the peoples of both countries is a shared objective. In order to coordinate joint efforts and implement the reached agreements in practice in the near future, a joint action plan was adopted.
