Within the framework of the informal meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) held in Istanbul, President of Türkiye Recep Tayyip Erdoğan received the foreign ministers of the member states on March 7. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

During the meeting, President Erdoğan welcomed the foreign ministers of the OTS member states and emphasized the importance of further strengthening cooperation among the Turkic states. He also noted the importance of maintaining continuous dialogue on current regional and international issues and expressed interest in developing multilateral cooperation within the framework of the organization.

Kyrgyzstan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Jeenbek Kulubaev conveyed warm greetings and best wishes from President Sadyr Japarov. He noted that Türkiye remains one of Kyrgyzstan’s most important and reliable partners and stated that relations between the two countries continue to develop on the basis of friendship, mutual respect and a comprehensive strategic partnership. Kulubaev also expressed appreciation for President Erdoğan’s personal contribution to promoting peace initiatives aimed at resolving regional and global conflicts through diplomatic means.

In addition, Kulubaev informed about the preparations for the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Summit and the World Nomad Games, which are planned to be held in Bishkek this year. At the end of the meeting, the sides confirmed their mutual interest in further deepening bilateral cooperation and strengthening cooperation within the framework of regional and international organizations.
