Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) Kubanychbek Omuraliev met with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan. The meeting was held in Ankara on September 8.
According to the Press Service of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), the sides discussed preparations for the 13th Summit of the Organization of Turkic States to be held in Ankara, as well as the organizational and substantive aspects of the upcoming event and its expected outcomes. Kubanychbek Omuraliev and Hakan Fidan exchanged views on the Strategy of the Organization of Turkic States for 2027–2031. The strategy will define the main directions and priorities of the organization’s future activities.
Particular attention was paid to strengthening the institutional capacity of the Organization of Turkic States and enhancing its effectiveness. Kubanychbek Omuraliev expressed his gratitude to Türkiye for its consistent support for the organization and its initiatives, emphasizing Türkiye’s important role in promoting cooperation, solidarity, and mutual coordination among the Turkic states.
Hakan Fidan stated that Türkiye is ready to maintain close coordination ahead of the summit and to further strengthen the Organization of Turkic States as an effective platform for developing comprehensive cooperation among the Turkic states.
