Trade Representation of Kyrgyzstan in Turkey held a meeting with the City Hall and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Malatya. This was reported in the Ministry of Economy.
The parties discussed issues of improving bilateral trade and economic relations established by the protocols on sister cities between Malatya and the cities of Batken and Osh.
The focus was on increasing trade volumes, assessing import and export opportunities, easing trade barriers and bureaucratic processes, as well as investment opportunities between Malatya, Osh and Batken.
Trade Representative Chyngyz Toktobekov informed the participants about mutual investment opportunities in Kyrgyzstan, cooperation in agriculture, textiles, construction, and proposed to hold a business forum.
The proposal was supported by the Deputy Chairman of the Malatya Chamber of Commerce and Industry Basri Ilkhan and a representative of the City Hall. As a result of the meeting it was decided to organize a business forum as soon as possible.
