Turkey has simplified the employment procedures for citizens of Kyrgyzstan and other Turkic countries. The information was reported by TRT.
According to the report, a presidential decree regulating the activities of Turkic-origin foreigners residing in Turkey has entered into force. The decree allows them to freely work and engage in crafts in both public and private institutions, except for the armed forces and security agencies.
Turkic-origin foreigners will be granted work permits if they meet the professional requirements specified by Turkish law. The decision to grant such permits will be made by the Ministry of Labor and Social Security, taking into account the opinions of the Ministries of Interior and Foreign Affairs.
Foreigners who receive work permits must register as members of professional associations, just like Turkish citizens, and will enjoy all membership rights except the right to vote and to be elected.
The law also exempts these individuals from the requirement to obtain Turkish citizenship in order to live and work in the country, but it does not grant them political rights. The implementation of the law will be overseen by the relevant ministries, and the procedures for its application will be determined by a presidential decree.
