Kazakhstan’s Minister of Agriculture Aidarbek Saparov and Veli Dinçel, CEO of the Turkish company Coca-Cola İçecek Kazakhstan, have signed an agreement to construct a manufacturing plant in the city of Aktobe. The information was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture of Kazakhstan.
According to Minister Saparov, the Head of State places particular emphasis on attracting investment and developing processing industries. “The signing of today’s agreement is a logical continuation of previously reached arrangements and a practical outcome of systematic efforts aimed at improving the investment climate,” he noted.
The total volume of investment in the project amounts to 41.9 billion tenge. The design capacity of the new facility is expected to reach up to 280 million liters of non-alcoholic beverages per year. Construction of the facility is scheduled to begin in April this year.
The new production complex will become the fourth Coca-Cola İçecek plant in Kazakhstan and will be equipped with modern technologies that meet international sustainable development standards, including environmental waste management systems and energy-efficient solutions.
Commenting on the project, CEO Veli Dinçel stated that the new plant in Aktobe will expand the company’s production geography, create new jobs, and contribute to the region’s sustainable development. He emphasized that Kazakhstan remains a strategic market with strong growth potential for the company.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Minister Saparov confirmed that the Ministry of Agriculture is ready to provide comprehensive support for the project and to implement it in close cooperation with local executive authorities. It is worth noting that Coca-Cola İçecek currently operates 36 plants in 12 countries. In Kazakhstan, three plants are already operating in Almaty, Astana, and Shymkent.
