A roundtable dedicated to the development of business cooperation was held in Astana with the participation of Kazakhstan’s Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov and Turkey’s Vice President Cevdet Yilmaz.

Kazakhstan continues its policy of attracting investments and strengthening partnerships with Turkish businesses, providing support for new projects. The Turkish side, in turn, highlighted the high level of economic growth and reforms in the country, emphasizing the attractiveness of the Kazakh market.

Turkey is among Kazakhstan’s top five trading partners. More than 5,000 companies with Turkish capital operate in the country, while the portfolio of joint projects includes over 170 initiatives worth approximately $9.5 billion.

Key projects include:

  • Anadolu Holding production facilities,
  • Sembol Construction tourism projects,
  • YDA Holding industrial park,
  • Aksa Enerji energy project,
  • S Sistem Lojistik logistics,
  • Tiryaki Agro agro-industrial production,
  • Alarko Holding greenhouse complexes,
  • modernization of Almaty Airport (TAV Holding),
  • pharmaceutical projects by Abdi Ibrahim and Nobel.

Kazakhstan is implementing an investment policy until 2030, which предусматривает поддержку инвесторов, развитие инфраструктуры и защиту их прав. For major projects, investment agreements guarantee legislative stability for up to 25 years.

According to last year’s results, issues related to 212 projects worth $115 billion were resolved. Cooperation in the agro-industrial sector exceeding $1 billion was also reported.
