A meeting was held in Baku between Askhat Khassenov, Chairman of the Management Board of Kazakhstan's national oil and gas company KazMunayGas, and Zsombor Marton, Executive Vice President for Exploration and Production of Hungary's MOL Group. The information was announced by the company's press service.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the current status of bilateral cooperation and future plans. In particular, they reviewed the progress of the joint project aimed at developing the Rozhkovskoye gas field located in the West Kazakhstan Region.

According to the information provided, the project is of significant social importance. Gas produced at the Rozhkovskoye field is processed and supplied in liquefied form to meet the needs of residents in the West Kazakhstan and Atyrau regions.

At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides reaffirmed their readiness to expand mutually beneficial cooperation across all key areas. It is worth noting that the large Rozhkovskoye gas-condensate field was commissioned for industrial operation in December 2023. By 2040, production is expected to reach 14.2 billion cubic meters of raw gas and 7.1 million tons of condensate. Experts estimate that the development of the field will contribute 501 billion tenge to Kazakhstan’s National Fund and 110 billion tenge to local budgets.
