According to the results for January–June 2026, Kazakhstan’s exports increased by 8.6% to reach $40.3 billion. Supplies to foreign markets are growing faster than imports, while the positive trade balance has approached $9 billion. Kazakh goods have significantly strengthened their positions in the markets of China, Türkiye, France, Uzbekistan and other countries. This was reported by the Kapital.kz business information center.
Kazakhstan’s exports exceed $40 billion
During the six-month period, Kazakhstan exported more than $40 billion worth of goods. This became one of the country’s most notable indicators in the field of foreign trade in recent years. For comparison, exports amounted to $37.1 billion in January–June 2025. Thus, export revenues increased by approximately $3.2 billion over the course of one year.
The growth in exports is also accompanied by an expansion of the geographical reach of Kazakhstan’s goods. Kazakhstan is strengthening its position simultaneously in major markets across Asia, Europe and Central Asia.
Türkiye: Exports nearly doubled in one year
One of the highest growth rates was recorded in exports of goods to Türkiye. According to the results for the first half of the year, Kazakhstan’s exports to Türkiye increased by 94.3%. In other words, the volume of goods supplied to this market nearly doubled within one year. This represents one of the highest growth rates among Kazakhstan’s major trading partners and indicates the expansion of trade and economic cooperation between the two countries. Significant export growth was also recorded in shipments to France, which increased by 45.2%, Uzbekistan by 39.5%, and Germany by approximately 10%.
Kazakhstan’s export geography is expanding
The dynamics in several markets are particularly noteworthy. Alongside China and European countries, Kazakhstan is also significantly strengthening its export position in Central Asia. Shipments of goods to Uzbekistan increased by almost 40%. This indicates that trade ties in the region are continuing to deepen. At the same time, the near doubling of exports to Türkiye demonstrates that Kazakhstan is expanding its presence in the Turkish market, which is an important trade and logistics partner for the country.
Thus, the results for the first half of the year point to several positive trends: growth in the overall volume of exports, an expansion of the geographical reach of goods, and an increase in exports of certain industrial products. Earlier, it was reported that Kazakhstan was preparing to increase the volume of its exports to Türkiye by $630 million.
