Kazakhstan’s IT services exports increased more than 30-fold over the past five years, reaching $1.142 billion at the end of 2025. This was reported by the Press Service of Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Development.

According to the data, IT services exports amounted to $33.5 million in 2020 and showed steady growth in the following years. Exports reached $60.07 million in 2021, $337 million in 2022, $529.1 million in 2023 and $690.7 million in 2024. In 2025, exports exceeded $1 billion for the first time.

At the same time, Kazakhstan became a net exporter of IT services. Export revenues were more than 2.6 times higher than spending on imports of foreign digital solutions, while the volume of imports amounted to $429 million. The growth in IT exports has been accompanied by the expansion of Kazakh companies’ activities in foreign markets. Today, the country’s digital solutions are exported to more than 110 countries worldwide.

Exports by Astana Hub participants reached $634 million in 2025. A total of 537 companies are currently selling their products and services in foreign markets, while more than 32,000 jobs have been created within the ecosystem. Kazakhstan plans to focus further on scaling technology companies and helping them enter major international markets. Priority markets include the United States, Europe, the Middle East and Asia.

For comparison, Georgia’s exports of telecommunications, computer and information services amounted to $842.3 million in 2024, while Armenia’s exports stood at approximately $1.18 billion. Kazakhstan’s strategic goal is to increase IT services exports to $5 billion by 2030. Thus, over the past five years, Kazakhstan has achieved significant growth in IT services exports, strengthening its position among the region’s technology-exporting countries.
