A factory for elevator production is set to be established in Turkestan. This was announced during a meeting between the akim of Turkestan region, Darkhan Satybaldy, and the CEO of EsVilla Prefabik Hafif Çelik Yapı Sistemleri Ltd. Şti. Ibrahim Tuylu, as reported by the correspondent of the business information center Kapital.kz, citing the press service of the akimat.
Ibrahim Tuylu mentioned that he had previously met with a delegation from Turkestan region in Turkey. “During our meeting with your delegation in Turkey, we learned about the investment potential of Turkestan. I specifically came to see everything for myself. I visited the 'Production Park' and inspected the buildings. We plan to set up elevator production. We want to promptly implement the project and begin operations. Young specialists from Kazakhstan will work at the enterprise. I also visited the mausoleum of Khoja Ahmed Yasawi. I invite you to Turkey to discuss important joint projects. May business ties strengthen, and investment projects in brotherly countries multiply,” emphasized the Turkish investor.
Darkhan Satybaldy stated that the akimat of the region is “always ready for cooperation with investors from Turkey.”
“Turkestan holds a special place for the Turkic world. It is one of the oldest cities in the Turan Valley, where Ahmed Yasawi lived. The city was the capital of the Kazakh Khanate. Here, Kazakh khans, biys, and batyrs found eternal rest. Six years ago, Turkestan became the regional center. Favorable conditions have been created in the region for the implementation of new investment projects,” noted Darkhan Satybaldy.
The akimat added that efforts continue in Turkestan region to attract investors and open enterprises in special economic and industrial zones, as well as in the 'Production Park'. Since the beginning of the year, investments totaling 888.5 billion tenge have been attracted to Turkestan region, which is 17.7% more than during the same period last year.
