KAZAKHSTAN STARTS CONSTRUCTİON OF 3 AİRPORTS İN RESORT AREAS

3 airport construction projects were launched in the Zaysan, Katon-Karagay and Kendirli resort areas in Kazakhstan, the press office of the Ministry of Transport of Kazakhstan reported.

The initiative is aimed at boosting domestic tourism and advancing accessibility in air travel. The new facilities are expected to be drive economic growth, create jobs and attract tourists.

«The potential of the Katon-Karagay, Zaysan and Kendirli resort areas needs to be unlocked. Airport terminals and airports with high-quality road infrastructure need to be built in the resort areas,» President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Zhomart instructed. Currently, a large air passenger and cargo terminal is under construction in the Khorgos special economic zone.
