Vessels of Kazmortransflot (KMTF), a subsidiary of the national company KazMunayGas (KMG), transported 51.4 thousand containers in twenty-foot equivalent units (TEU) on the Aktau-Baku route.
This is reported by Report with reference to the message of KMG. “Positive dynamics in 2024 took place on container transportation. On the route Aktau-Baku-Aktau, launched in 2019, by KMTF forces last year transported 51.4 thousand TEU. or 94% of the total volume of 55 thousand TEU”, - stated in the message.
Also in 2024, Kazmortransflot vessels transported a record 13.2 million tons of oil, which is 22.2% more than in 2023.
“The growth was ensured due to increased oil deliveries from Tengiz and Karazhanbas fields via the Caspian Sea, as well as transportation of hydrocarbons through the Black Sea. In total, since the start of tanker operation, the total volume of oil transported has exceeded 170 million tons,” the information said.
