Akim of Karaganda region Ermaganbet Bulekpaev met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Hungary in Kazakhstan Otto Rona. The parties discussed the construction of a plant for the production of premium fodder and premixes on the territory of Saran industrial zone, reports the center of business information Kapital.kz with reference to the press service of the regional akimat.
“We have especially great prospects in the agro-industrial complex due to the launch of joint production,” Otto Rona noted. - In addition, there are interesting projects in the pharmaceutical and energy sectors, which we are also ready to develop”.
Hungarian company UBM Group plans to build a modern plant for the production of premium mixed fodders and premixes for livestock and poultry farming. Grain crops from local farmers will be used as raw materials, which is especially important given the proximity of three large grain-growing areas, the Akimat said. Yermaganbet Bulekpaev emphasized that the region is ready for long-term cooperation.
“We are interested in attracting international partners and creating new industries. A land plot has already been allocated for the plant, connection points to the necessary capacities have been provided. The project will be provided with state support, including investment benefits and preferences”, - Yermaganbet Bulekpaev noted.
Currently, there are no premix plants in Kazakhstan, and poultry farms buy premixes abroad, mainly in Russia.
Earlier it was reported that UBM Group plans to invest 83 million dollars in the construction of four plants for the production of feed and premixes in other regions.
“From 2025 to 2028, the company plans to invest about 83 million dollars in the construction of three plants for the production of mixed fodder in Kostanai, Akmola and Turkestan regions, as well as a plant for the production of premixes in Almaty region”, - the Ministry of Agriculture explained.
