Entrepreneurs from Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan signed export agreements valued at $73.5 million during a trade and economic mission held in Tashkent. The event was organized by the Ministry of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the company “QazTrade,” Kapital.kz business information center reported.
According to a statement from QazTrade’s press service:“This is not just a delegation visit or formal speeches. These are real negotiations with customers ready to purchase Kazakh products. As of today, export contracts worth $73.5 million have been signed. We see stable demand from the Uzbek side for sunflower oil, meat, and sugar.” The trade and economic mission brought together successful Kazakh companies operating in the construction materials, food and light industries, mechanical engineering, chemical, and processing sectors.
Deputy Minister of Trade and Integration of Kazakhstan, Aidar Abildabekov, noted: “Our trade and economic mission in Tashkent offers companies not only the opportunity to showcase their products but also to immediately enter the neighboring market, reach supply agreements, and begin exports. We provide participants with full support at every stage — from organizing meetings to translation and logistics matters.”
According to the Ministry, 876 Kazakh enterprises are currently operating in Uzbekistan. They ensure a trade turnover of approximately $500 million across 270 product categories. In the first eight months of 2025, trade turnover between the two countries increased by nearly 18.5%, reaching $3 billion. Meanwhile, Kazakh exports grew by more than 26.7%, totaling $2.2 billion.
