A delegation from Kazakhstan’s Almaty Region visited the copper processing plant of “Eti Bakır A.Ş.” located in the city of Konya, Türkiye, to familiarize themselves with its operations. The main objective of the Kazakh delegation was to study the industrial potential of the Turkish enterprise and gain first-hand insight into its experience in the metallurgical production sector. This was reported by the press service of the Almaty Region.
“Eti Bakır A.Ş.” is a subsidiary of Cengiz Holding and is among Türkiye’s leading metallurgical companies. The company operates on the principle of a fully integrated production cycle, carrying out activities ranging from copper exploration and extraction to beneficiation and metallurgical processing. Its plants are located in several regions of the country, and its products are supplied both to the domestic market and for export.
During the meeting, special attention was paid to issues of vertical integration of production and energy supply. The Turkish company utilizes its own energy capacities. This approach makes it possible to reduce production costs and ensure operational stability even under challenging production conditions.
The experience of “Eti Bakır A.Ş.” is of significant importance for the development of the industrial sector of the Almaty Region, including the introduction of modern technologies, increasing the efficiency of raw material processing, and expanding export potential. According to the delegation members, such visits contribute to strengthening business ties and expanding international cooperation.
