A delegation of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Kyrgyzstan visited the İTOB OSB Organized Industrial Zone in Türkiye, where they discussed opportunities to expand business ties and the application of Türkiye’s experience in developing industrial zones in Kyrgyzstan. This was reported by the press service of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The delegation from Kyrgyzstan visited the İTOB OSB located in the Menderes (Tekeli) district of İzmir Province, Türkiye. The visit was also attended by the President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Kyrgyzstan, Temir Sariev.
According to information provided by the Turkish Chamber of Commerce and Industry, İTOB OSB was established in 2002. The total area of the zone is approximately 2.5 million square meters. More than 300 enterprises operate in the area, employing about 7,000–8,000 people. The annual export potential of the zone’s residents is estimated at around USD 1 billion.
During the visit, members of the delegation familiarized themselves with the infrastructure, business operating conditions, and mechanisms for supporting investors. In addition, the activities of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Kyrgyzstan were presented to the management of İTOB OSB, and the prospects for cooperation between the business communities of Kyrgyzstan and Türkiye were discussed.
İTOB OSB brings together companies operating in sectors such as machinery manufacturing, metal processing, electronics, automotive components production, chemical and food industries, as well as logistics and warehousing services. Machinery manufacturing and metal processing are particularly well developed.
At the conclusion of the visit, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Kyrgyzstan noted that the experience of Türkiye’s İTOB OSB is of practical interest for the development of organized industrial zones in Kyrgyzstan, contributing to attracting investments, introducing production standards, and expanding industrial cooperation.
