Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Jeenbek Kulubaev held talks with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan Ermek Kosherbayev, who arrived in Bishkek on an official visit. During the meeting, the heads of the foreign policy agencies discussed in detail the current state of bilateral cooperation in political, trade-economic, water-energy, and cultural-humanitarian spheres.

The parties paid special attention to the implementation of agreements reached by the heads of state and government at the 7th meeting of the Supreme Interstate Council and the 13th meeting of the Intergovernmental Council between the two countries. A schedule of mutual official visits at high and highest levels for the current year was also agreed upon.

The ministers discussed the implementation of major projects, including the construction of an industrial trade and logistics complex at the border of the two countries, the establishment of a wholesale distribution center for storing fruits and vegetables in the Almaty region of Kazakhstan, the construction of the “Issyk-Kul – Almaty” alternative highway, as well as the modernization of checkpoints and bridges on the Kyrgyzstan–Kazakhstan state border.

In addition to infrastructure development, the parties noted that there is untapped potential for interregional cooperation in agriculture and industrial cooperation. In this regard, they agreed to study current prospects.

An exchange of views also took place on strengthening cooperation within multilateral platforms. The foreign ministers confirmed the similarity of their positions on key regional issues and their readiness to provide mutual support within international organizations. Furthermore, the parties expressed their willingness to expand cultural and humanitarian ties through initiatives in education, healthcare, and youth policy.
