The Turkish company “Akplas Plastik Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş.” plans to build a factory in the Chuy region of Kyrgyzstan to produce drip and sprinkler irrigation equipment. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Economy of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The production complex will be located on a 10-hectare land plot in the Ak-Suu rural district. The Turkish investor is a company specializing in the production of modern equipment for agricultural and water infrastructure. Its product range includes polymer pipes (HDPE/PE, PVC), fittings, as well as water filtration and treatment systems.

The negotiation process was organized by Kyrgyzstan’s trade mission, while the preparation and support of the agreement are being handled by the Ministry of Agriculture.

Launching local production will enable the introduction of water-saving technologies into the country’s agricultural sector. Such state-of-the-art technical equipment will improve the efficiency of water resource use and reduce irrigation water losses. The project is also aimed at creating new jobs and developing additional services in logistics, installation, and maintenance of irrigation systems.
