The economies of the member states of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) recorded an average growth of 6% in 2025. This figure is twice the global average. The statement was made by Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Adylbek Kasymaliev at a meeting of the heads of government of the member states held in Baku.
According to Adylbek Kasymaliev, the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) is becoming a new center of power in Eurasia. The combined gross domestic product (GDP) of the member states has exceeded $2.4 trillion, while their total population stands at 160 million people. In this context, Kyrgyzstan is actively strengthening its cooperation with partner countries. Kyrgyzstan’s trade turnover with OTS countries has reached $3.3 billion, and investments from these countries amounted to $220 million last year.
In addition, the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers highlighted several key initiatives. In particular, the “China – Kyrgyzstan – Uzbekistan” railway is considered a strategic corridor. The railway will connect the Pacific coast with European markets via the Caspian Sea. To accelerate cargo transportation, the introduction of electronic consignment notes (e-CMR) was proposed.
Furthermore, special attention was paid to green energy. Over the past five years, 27 small hydropower plants have been commissioned in Kyrgyzstan. Currently, solar and wind energy projects worth $4.7 billion are being prepared. Adylbek Kasymaliev emphasized that the country is open to investors and ready to create favorable conditions for doing business.
