Prof. Dr. Kürşad Zorlu, Member of Parliament for Ankara, Deputy Chairman of the Justice and Development Party (AK Party), and Head of Relations with the Turkic States, paid a visit to Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University (KTMU).

Inspection of the Chingiz Aitmatov Campus Area

As part of the visit, Prof. Dr. Kürşad Zorlu, together with Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to Bishkek Dr. Mekin Mustafa Kemal Ökem, Rector Prof. Dr. Alpaslan Ceylan, Acting Rector Prof. Dr. Almaz Ibrayev, senior university administrators, and members of the Senate, toured the Chingiz Aitmatov Campus area of Manas University.

Common Goals for the Turkic World Discussed

Following the inspection, Rector Prof. Dr. Alpaslan Ceylan received Prof. Dr. Kürşad Zorlu in his office. During the meeting, the parties discussed enhancing cooperation among Turkic states in the fields of education, science, and culture, as well as strengthening a shared sense of identity among younger generations.

They also exchanged views on the mission of Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University as a leading higher education institution that preserves the common values of the Turkic world, strengthens scientific cooperation, and educates future generations of leaders.

KTMU Contributes to the Common Future of the Turkic World

Rector Prof. Dr. Alpaslan Ceylan stated that since its establishment, the university has served as an important bridge strengthening the bonds of brotherhood between Türkiye and Kyrgyzstan. He noted that KTMU continues its efforts to become a common center of education and science not only for the two countries but for the entire Turkic world.

He also emphasized that the university brings together students from various Turkic republics and related communities under one roof, contributing to the strengthening of a shared awareness of history, culture, and the future.

Zorlu: Education Is the Foundation of Friendship and Brotherhood in the Turkic World

Prof. Dr. Kürşad Zorlu stated that joint efforts in education strengthen the bridges of friendship and brotherhood throughout the Turkic world, stressing that such unity is of great importance for the common future of Turkic nations.
