President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov held a meeting with Kürşad Zorlu, a member of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye. According to the Presidential Administration’s press service, the main focus of the meeting was the expansion of the strategic partnership between Kyrgyzstan and Türkiye, as well as the strengthening of cooperation in the political, economic, and cultural spheres.

Particular attention was given to enhancing bilateral trade and investment cooperation. President Sadyr Japarov emphasized the importance of deepening interparliamentary ties, noting that Kyrgyzstan regards Türkiye as a brotherly nation and a partner of special significance.

The two sides stated that, through joint efforts, bilateral trade turnover between Kyrgyzstan and Türkiye could be increased to $5 billion. Currently, trade between the two countries stands at approximately $1.6 billion. For his part, Kürşad Zorlu conveyed greetings from President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and highlighted the positive momentum in bilateral relations. He expressed confidence that the cooperation potential between the two countries would continue to grow. At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides reaffirmed their readiness to consistently develop the strategic partnership and expand cooperation across all areas.
