Kyrgyzstan and Azerbaijan have reached an agreement to increase the authorized capital of the Azerbaijan–Kyrgyzstan Development Fund from $100 million to $200 million. The agreement was signed during the state visit of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev to Kyrgyzstan.
According to the Ministry of Economy and Commerce of the Kyrgyz Republic, doubling the Fund’s capital will expand financing for joint investment projects, strengthen support for businesses, and facilitate the attraction of additional Azerbaijani investments into the Kyrgyz economy.
In addition, the two sides signed a Roadmap for the Implementation of the 2024–2029 Cooperation Program between the Cabinets of Ministers of the two countries. The document defines specific joint activities in priority sectors and establishes a mechanism for monitoring the implementation of the agreements reached.
The Azerbaijan–Kyrgyzstan Development Fund was established in 2022 with an authorized capital of $25 million. In 2024, its capital was increased to $100 million. Under the new decision, the Fund’s financial resources will double compared to the 2024 level and become eight times larger than its initial capital at the time of its establishment.
