Kyrgyzstan is preparing to launch direct fruit exports to the Turkish market, according to the Ministry of Economy and Commerce of the Kyrgyz Republic. According to the ministry, Kyrgyz exporters and representatives of the Turkish business community have agreed to sign export contracts.
The agreement was reached during a meeting attended by Deputy Minister of Economy and Commerce Benazir Nurlanova, Consul General of the Kyrgyz Republic in Istanbul Chyngyz Toktobekov, Kyrgyz exporters, and members of a Turkish business delegation.
The export contracts are expected to be signed between Turkish companies and the "Agrocluster Fruits" Association of Agricultural Producers (Union of Legal Entities). The parties also discussed the development of logistics chains, the expansion of trade relations, and attracting investment to Kyrgyzstan's agro-industrial sector.
The Ministry of Economy and Commerce believes that entering the Turkish market will significantly expand export opportunities for Kyrgyz producers. In addition, the parties explored the possibility of implementing joint projects in Kyrgyzstan for fruit cultivation and processing.
