Within the framework of the III Kyrgyz-Hungarian agro-forum held in Budapest, a number of bilateral documents aimed at the development of agriculture and establishment of business contacts between Kyrgyzstan and Hungary were signed. This was reported by the press service of the Kyrgyz Republic Cabinet of Ministers.
The main purpose of the forum was to discuss the prospects of cooperation between agricultural companies of the two countries, as well as the exchange of innovative solutions in such areas as increasing yields, improving irrigation technologies, processing of agricultural products and environmentally friendly sustainable agriculture.
The forum was attended by major Hungarian companies specializing in modern solutions for agriculture, as well as representatives of government agencies and companies of Kyrgyzstan, who presented reports on the investment potential of their country.
As a result of the event, a number of memorandums of cooperation were signed:
- Memorandum between Kyrgyz Agroholding OJSC and Umvelt Group LLC in the agricultural sector;
- Memorandum between Kyrgyz Agroholding OJSC and L.A.C. Zrt. holding;
- Memorandum of mutual understanding between the National Association of Employers and Industrial Workers of Hungary and the Association of Legal Entities “Association for the Development of Agro-Industrial Complex of the Kyrgyz Republic”.
Deputy Head of the Cabinet of Ministers, Minister of Agriculture Bakyt Torobaev, taking part in the agro-forum, emphasized the importance of investor support and invited Hungarian entrepreneurs to actively participate in the forum.
He emphasized that Kyrgyzstan's new economic policy is focused on agriculture, energy and transport and transit industry, and Hungary is a reliable partner with rich experience in agro-technology.
“We consider Hungary as a reliable partner with rich experience in agro-technology and processing of agricultural products, improvement of plant varieties, as well as development of small and medium-sized farms,” Torobaev said. Agroforum, aimed at introducing innovative technologies and realization of joint projects, is planned to be held annually.
