The head of the parliamentary friendship group of the Parliament of Kyrgyzstan for cooperation with Turkey Alisher Kozuev met with a delegation led by the head of Kyrgyzstan-Turkey parliamentary friendship group of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey Yusuf Beyazit on February 13.
According to the press service of the Jogorku Kenesh, the meeting was attended by deputies of the Jogorku Kenesh Ulugbek Ormonov, Suyunbek Omurzakov, Jalolidin Nurbaev, Muradil Sydykov, Vinera Raimbachayeva, Azamat Isirailov. The delegation led by Yusuf Beyazit arrived in Bishkek at the invitation of the head of the Jogorku Kenesh parliamentary friendship group on cooperation with Turkey.
Kozuev focused on the expansion of inter-parliamentary cooperation, mentioned the strengthening of trade and economic ties, the realization of agreements reached in the health sector.
“The heads of the two states have set a goal to bring the volume of trade turnover to 5 billion US dollars. Therefore, it is necessary to simplify trade procedures, including as partner countries we need to jointly consider issues in the granting of benefits”, - he said. Head of the Parliamentary Friendship Group ‘Kyrgyzstan - Turkey’ of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey Yusuf Beyazıt noted the importance of the implementation of previously reached agreements, highlighted the issues of further development of bilateral cooperation. Also, Deputy Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh Nurlanbek Azygaliev met with a delegation of the Turkish Parliament. The parties discussed issues of strengthening Kyrgyz-Turkish cooperation, expanding trade and economic relations, strengthening ties in education and health care.
