Minister of Agriculture Bakyt Torobaev held a meeting with the Ambassador of Hungary, Sándor Dorogi, a delegation from the Hungarian University of Agriculture and Life Sciences (MATE) led by Rector Csaba Gyuricza, as well as representatives of KNAU. This was reported by the Ministry of Agriculture.

The parties discussed the training of specialists, the launch of joint scientific research, experience exchange, and the possibilities of growing seeds in Kyrgyzstan for export. The Hungarian side expressed interest in adapting raspberry and currant varieties, establishing processing facilities, and addressing the consequences of climate change.

Additionally, the launch of an educational program and the allocation of 20 quotas for Kyrgyz students in the field of agriculture were discussed.

Torobaev noted that the development of science and education is one of the five priorities of Kyrgyzstan’s agro-industrial policy. He emphasized the importance of international cooperation in implementing modern approaches and strengthening the sector’s potential.
