Kyrgyzstan and Turkey have agreed to strengthen cooperation in the field of social policy. This was announced following a meeting between the Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Turkey, Ruslan Kazakbaev, and the Turkish Minister of Family and Social Services, Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan, the meeting took place on May 6 in Ankara. The parties discussed cooperation in areas such as family support, protection of women's rights, assistance to people with disabilities, and care for the elderly.

Kazakbaev emphasized Kyrgyzstan’s interest in expanding its partnership with Turkey and highlighted the importance of the socio-economic reforms being implemented in the republic.

Minister Göktaş, in turn, expressed Turkey’s readiness to share its experience in the field of social protection and to strengthen cooperation in areas that are priorities for Kyrgyzstan. As a result of the meeting, the parties agreed to establish working groups between the relevant ministries of the two countries.
