Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan, Bakyt Torobaev, held a meeting with the Ambassador of Hungary and representatives of the Hungarian company “H2O.” The parties discussed joint projects aimed at providing clean drinking water to the rural population of Kyrgyzstan. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the implementation of mobile container-type water purification systems, developed by Hungary’s “H2O” company, which are adapted for use in remote and hard-to-reach regions of Kyrgyzstan.
Special attention was given to the possibility of financing the project through the “Hungary-Kyrgyzstan” Development Fund. The idea of establishing a local plant in Kyrgyzstan for assembling water purification facilities was also discussed.
The Kyrgyz side expressed interest in studying Hungary’s experience in this field. At the same time, members of the Hungarian delegation stated they were ready to visit existing water facilities currently operating in Kyrgyzstan. At the end of the meeting, the parties agreed to deepen cooperation in the areas of water supply and sustainable development of rural regions.
