On August 27, the second meeting of the Kyrgyzstan-Türkiye Joint Working Group on Trade was held in Ankara, the press service of the National Investment Agency of Kyrgyzstan reported.
The meeting was attended by B. Tynybekov, head of a department at the National Investment Agency of Kyrgyzstan. It was co-chaired by Deputy Minister of Economy and Commerce of Kyrgyzstan S. Akhmatov and Deputy Minister of Trade of the Republic of Türkiye Mustafa Tuzcu.
The National Agency presented Kyrgyzstan’s investment opportunities, including the potential of free economic zones aimed at creating favorable conditions for foreign investors.
The meeting discussed trade development, customs cooperation, investments, the results of bilateral trade in 2024, future prospects, investment interaction, and contractual relations. Other issues included drawing up a list of promising goods, addressing non-tariff barriers, cooperation within free economic zones, and developing a green economy. Preparations for the 12th meeting of the Kyrgyzstan-Türkiye Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation were also considered.
As a result of the meeting, the parties confirmed their readiness to deepen trade and economic cooperation, expand investment interaction, and implement joint projects in priority sectors.
