Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov received Vice President of the Republic of Turkiye Cevdet Yilmaz, who arrived in the country with official visit. The parties discussed a wide range of bilateral issues, focusing on cooperation in healthcare, the development of the banking sector, and the deepening of investment partnerships.
The head of state noted that, amid global economic instability, the parties intend to jointly increase bilateral trade turnover to $5 billion. In this regard, the work of the intergovernmental commission and measures to reduce export-import duties is very important.
Furthermore, Kyrgyzstan is ready to offer Turkish businesses favorable conditions for investment in such sectors as energy, transport, logistics, agriculture, tourism, and others. In turn, Turkish Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz, conveying greetings on behalf of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, noted that thanks to the political will of the two countries' leaders, cooperation between Turkiye and Kyrgyzstan has reached the level of a comprehensive strategic partnership.
Speaking about Kyrgyzstan's development, Cevdet Yılmaz praised the country's economic growth dynamics and ongoing reforms, and noted positive changes in infrastructure and construction.
At the end of the meeting, the parties reaffirmed their commitment to further developing the comprehensive strategic partnership, deepening mutually beneficial cooperation, and strengthening the ties of friendship between Kyrgyzstan and Turkiye.
