The President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Kyrgyzstan, Temir Sariev, stated at the “Kyrgyz-Turkish” business forum that business opportunities between the two countries are growing significantly.

According to Sariev, the trust-based relations between the presidents of Kyrgyzstan and Turkey are creating favorable conditions for entrepreneurship.

Temir Sariev said: “Today, Kyrgyzstan’s Prime Minister Adylbek Kasymaliyev and Turkey’s Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz held talks. The main goal is to raise trade turnover to $5 billion. To make a comparison: in 2012, when I was the Minister of Economy, we had planned to reach $1 billion,” he noted.

The head of the Kyrgyz Chamber of Commerce and Industry also announced plans to raise trade turnover to $10 billion in the future. He further stated that Kyrgyzstan’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) will reach 2 trillion soms in 2025, while the state budget will exceed 1 trillion soms.

Temir Sariev emphasized that all sectors in Kyrgyzstan are developing rapidly, highlighting the importance of competitiveness on the international stage, and added: “We are not lagging behind China; we are actively developing our own potential.”
