At the Kyrgyz-Turkish Business Forum held in Bishkek, Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Head of the Presidential Administration of Kyrgyzstan, Adylbek Kasymaliev, stated that between 2022 and 2025, Kyrgyzstan attracted direct investments amounting to $1.449 billion from Turkey.

The forum, held at the Presidential Congress Center in Bishkek, was organized within the framework of the 12th meeting of the Kyrgyzstan–Turkey Intergovernmental Economic Commission (IEC), co-chaired by Turkey’s Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz and Kyrgyzstan’s Cabinet Chairman Adylbek Kasymaliev.

Kasymaliev emphasized that the Kyrgyz and Turkish peoples are brothers:
"What brings us closer are our common language, culture, and spiritual ties. Dear Turkish friends and guests, welcome to the foothills of the Tien Shan," he said.

Turkey among the largest investors

Kasymaliev stressed that Turkey is one of the countries investing the most in Kyrgyzstan’s economy: "Between 2022 and 2025, Kyrgyzstan received $1.449 billion in direct investment from Turkey. Trade turnover between the two countries exceeded $2.3 billion," he announced.

He noted that the number of companies with Turkish capital in Kyrgyzstan is approaching 3,000, and these enterprises are providing stable jobs for local citizens.

“Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University – an investment in the future”

Kasymaliev underlined that cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Turkey is also growing in education, science, culture, medicine, social and humanitarian fields.
Particularly highlighting the education sector, he said: "Kyrgyzstan–Turkey Manas University has become an internationally recognized institution. Over 30 years, it has produced 14,250 graduates who now work in 43 countries. This is not only an investment but also a significant contribution to the future."

He also praised the modern schools established by Turkey’s “Maarif” Foundation and the activities of the Yunus Emre Institute as indicators of intellectual and spiritual cooperation between the two nations.

Kasymaliev added that the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) has implemented hundreds of projects in education, healthcare, agriculture, and infrastructure, creating “one of the most successful models of cooperation.”

“Turkey is our strategic development partner”

Kasymaliev pointed out that Kyrgyzstan’s economy has been steadily growing, with GDP increasing by 11% in 2025, and national budget revenues exceeding 1 trillion soms in the first 8 months of the year.

He attributed these achievements to favorable business conditions and reforms:
"Administrative barriers were reduced, bureaucracy simplified, public services digitalized, tax and customs systems streamlined, and legal protection of investors prioritized," he said.

Calling Turkey a strategic development partner, Kasymaliev stated:

"Our country has great potential in light industry, agriculture and food processing, energy, transport and logistics, tourism, mining, construction, IT, and the digital economy. We are ready for joint projects with Turkey in these sectors."

He also expressed readiness to cooperate with Turkey in digitalization, Islamic finance, halal food, cybersecurity, and education, emphasizing that hundreds of Kyrgyz students studying in Turkey are serving as a strong bridge between the two countries.

Kasymaliev invited Turkish businessmen to invest in Kyrgyzstan, adding that the country is open not only to halal food projects but also to tourism infrastructure, ski resorts, new city construction, and digital initiatives.
