As part of his working visit to Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan’s Minister of Agriculture Bakyt Torobaev visited the country’s space agency “Azercosmos.” This was reported by the ministry’s press service. During the meeting, the parties discussed opportunities for cooperation in the fields of space technologies, satellite communication, and digital solutions with Dunay Batyrkhanov, Acting Chairman of the Board of Azercosmos.
The Kyrgyz side expressed interest in using the capabilities of Azerbaijani satellites for communication needs, disaster prevention, agricultural monitoring, and environmental control. It was noted that access to modern satellite data will help improve the efficiency of public administration and support the implementation of important socio-economic projects.
The Azerbaijani side presented the technical capabilities of its satellite systems, including data transmission, high-precision territorial monitoring, and the provision of comprehensive digital services for government agencies and the private sector. At the end of the visit, the parties agreed to continue cooperation, hold consultations, and prepare specific projects aimed at introducing satellite services and technologies in sectors important for Kyrgyzstan.
