On December 10, Kyrgyzstan’s Minister of Energy, Taalaybek Ibrayev, paid a working visit to Istanbul and took part in the fifth meeting of energy ministers of the member states of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS).
The event was attended by ministers and high-level representatives of the member and observer states of the organization. During the meeting, participants discussed current issues in the energy sector, new opportunities for cooperation, and ways to strengthen joint efforts to develop the sector within the framework of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS).
The meeting served as an important platform for deepening dialogue on energy policy, expanding areas of cooperation, and promoting projects that contribute to a sustainable and secure energy future for the region.
In his speech, Taalaybek Ibrayev emphasized that Kyrgyzstan’s participation in energy cooperation among the Turkic states is a strategic priority that contributes to strengthening long-term stability across the entire region. He highlighted the importance of energy security, the resilience of energy systems, the introduction of environmentally friendly technologies, and the prevention of climate-related risks. According to the Minister of Energy of Kyrgyzstan, the countries of the Turkic world possess significant potential in the field of renewable green energy, including hydropower, solar, wind, and bioenergy.
The Minister also noted that strategic cooperation between the energy ministries of the member states of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) is rapidly strengthening, opening new perspectives driven by a spirit of brotherhood and mutual support.
