A working meeting was held in Istanbul between the management of Kyrgyzstan Airports and Bilal Ekşi, Chairman of the Board of Turkish Airlines, with the support of the Consulate General of Kyrgyzstan in Istanbul. This was reported by Manasbek Samidinov, Chairman of the Board of Kyrgyzstan Airports.

The Turkish side stated its readiness to cooperate with Kyrgyzstan’s state-owned airline Asman Airlines and announced plans to increase the number of passenger and cargo flights.

According to Samidinov, Turkish Airlines also confirmed its intention to increase the number of flights, taking into account services operated with technical stopovers at Manas International Airport. This could strengthen the transit and cargo potential of the country’s main airport and expand air connectivity options.

During the meeting, Bilal Ekşi emphasized the importance of partnership with Kyrgyzstan. The Kyrgyz side also invited him to the opening ceremony of the renovated terminal complex of Manas International Airport, scheduled for the summer of 2026.
