On March 11, Uzbekistan’s Minister of Investments, Industry and Trade, Laziz Kudratov, held a meeting with Bora Koçak, Head of the Automotive Division of Turkey’s Anadolu Group.

Anadolu Group produces approximately 4,000 buses and light commercial vehicles annually at its plant in Kocaeli, Turkey. Its products are exported to more than 45 countries, and the company is one of the largest exporters of midibuses in Turkey. In addition, Anadolu Group has acquired a 75.2% stake in SamAuto, a manufacturer of buses and trucks.

During the talks, the parties discussed the current performance of SamAuto and prospects for its further development. Particular attention was given to expanding cooperation and implementing joint projects in the automotive industry. The sides also discussed plans to modernize the plant, increase production capacity, and launch new types of products based on the SamAuto facility.

Earlier, in December 2025, the Uzbekistan State Assets Management Agency announced the completion of the sale of a 75.2% state stake in the Samarkand automobile plant to Turkey’s Anadolu Isuzu. This step is aimed at strengthening the company’s position in both domestic and export markets.
