On April 7, 2026, Abdullah Azizov, Director of the Agency for the Development of the Pharmaceutical Industry of Uzbekistan, held a meeting with Professor Dr. Ahmet Hacımüftüoğlu, Rector of Atatürk University in Türkiye.

During the meeting, representatives of Atatürk University provided information about their activities in higher education, scientific research, and innovation. Particular emphasis was placed on pharmacology, genetics, biomedicine, and vaccine development. The parties discussed expanding international cooperation, launching joint educational programs, exchanging experience, and implementing scientific projects.

The Uzbek side presented information on the activities of the Pharmaceutical Technical University, research institutes, and projects in the biopharmaceutical sector, as well as opportunities for conducting clinical research. As a result of the meeting, the parties agreed to develop cooperation in the fields of education, science, biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, and clinical research, promote joint projects, and maintain continuous dialogue.

Atatürk University is one of Türkiye’s leading educational and research institutions, with strong potential in medicine, pharmacology, genetics, biotechnology, and clinical research. With modern infrastructure and more than 90,000 students, it is considered one of the largest universities in the country.
